Whether it's a crawl space floor or a basement wall assembly, uncontrolled vapor transmission feeds humidity, mold, and musty odors long before anyone notices actual liquid water pooling anywhere.

Four commitments that separate a properly trained vapor barrier installation crew from a generalist showing up with a truck and a hope.
Technicians understand vapor drive direction, dew point calculation, and mil-thickness requirements specific to your climate and application.
Assessments for musty odor, visible condensation, or elevated humidity readings are typically scheduled within a few days.
Seam sealing and pier wrapping, where applicable, are included in the itemized quote rather than charged as separate add-ons.
We install 10-20 mil reinforced polyethylene for floor applications, thick enough to resist puncture from foot traffic and stored items.
We don't run a one-size-fits-all playbook — every vapor barrier installation job starts from these core service components, adapted to what your property actually needs.
Barrier is run up piers and foundation walls, not just laid flat, since ground moisture can wick up unsealed vertical surfaces just as easily.
This is particularly important before finishing a basement, since trapped vapor behind drywall is a common and expensive cause of mold discovery years later.
We heat-tape or mechanically seal every seam and use proper termination strips at wall transitions, following manufacturer installation spec exactly.
Support piers in a crawl space are common weak points where ground moisture bypasses an otherwise well-installed floor barrier.
Where vents are being sealed as part of a full encapsulation approach, we install rigid vent covers integrated with the barrier's edge termination.
Four steps, start to finish — from your call to a sealed, tested vapor barrier system.
A few quick questions about crawl space versus basement wall application help us bring the right barrier material and mil-thickness.
Technicians bring moisture meters and sample barrier material at multiple thicknesses so you can compare options during the visit.
Pricing is itemized by square footage, mil-thickness, and any additional detailing like pier wrapping or vent covers.
We're glad to take a follow-up humidity reading after installation so you can see the measurable difference.
